When you sign up for Fizz, you’ll give us some personal information - pretty much the same information that your bank asks you for - and you’ll link your checking account. We don’t do a credit check, so you can get a Fizz card no matter who you are.
Once you’ve signed up and have activated your physical and/or virtual card, you can use it like you would your debit card. Fizz sets a maximum amount that you can spend based on how much money you have in your bank account. That way, we protect you from overspending. Our partner Stilt then extends a corresponding line of credit. At the end of the day, we tally up how much you’ve spent and that amount is debited from your checking account. This process occurs every day that you spend money on your card. As a result, your spending limit will likely change from day to day.
On the last day of the month, your spending is reported to the credit bureaus by our partner Stilt, helping establish your credit profile and build your score.
On top of all that, we partner with certain merchants so that you can earn cash back when you shop at your favorite establishments around the country.
